To say I’ve been busy the past few months would be a severe understatement. I’ve been crazy with hosting a bridal shower for a dear friend (coming in a future post), a last minute early anniversary trip to Munich, Germany (coming in a future post) and life in general (coming in many future posts). I’ve been so busy that I’ve been neglecting my blog among other things. So as much as I wanted to come home this evening and take a nap, I decided to go outside and enjoy the fresh air of spring even if only for a few minutes.
Since today just happens to be Roxy’s birthday I had to take some pictures of my favorite Muffin Butt. Yes, I call my dog Muffin Butt. Everyone that hears this for the first time thinks I’m crazy but they eventually start calling her by that nickname too. I’m still trying to break Jason of the habit of reprimanding her by her nickname. I just don’t think you can be authoritative when you are saying “Muffin Butt! Get off the couch!!!” Anyways, ROXY, has had a rough birthday week so she deserved to be celebrated today. A little over a week ago, while we were in Germany, she had her first near-death experience while staying with my parents in GA. Long story short, she was attacked by 3 large dogs and my Dad rescued her just before they tore her to shreds. She escaped with 8 stitches and 15-20 puncture wounds. Besides being ridiculously angry at the owners of the dogs, I suddenly pictured my life without Roxy and it wasn’t pretty. So this morning I cuddled with Roxy in bed, which she’s never allowed to do, and took pictures of her being my little Muffin Butt.

Her favorite thing to do. Roll in the dirt.

Had to get some of Jake too. His favorite thing to do: tricks! BTW – I am very well aware that his bubble is that which only a mother could love.

Siblings.
