Okay, so I’ll admit, I don’t even know where to start this blog. My sister Shawna is engaged and I’m so flippin’ excited that I can’t even think straight. You all first met Shawna and her then boyfriend, Jeff, on my blog last year. They were one of my first subjects and I begged them to “model” for me. Now, almost exactly a year later, I am posting their engagement pictures.
These two are just the sweetest couple. Us O’Neil girls are…well….very particular about our men. We were raised to know what we want and not to settle for anything less (Thanks Mom!). So as Shawna and Jeff started dating after being set up by some mutual friends, we all knew pretty quickly that this was the real thing. Jeff is a total nice guy. He doesn’t dislike anyone or anything (Correction. Since writing this post 20 minutes ago, Jeff has informed that he does not like pickles). Sometimes annoying, but completely endearing. And Shawna…omg, I can’t even get through this paragraph without crying, there’s no way I’m gonna make it through a toast at their wedding without blubbering. Shawna is so special to me. Growing up I wanted to be like her so bad that I formed a speech impediment just to be like her, I wore her clothes, fixed my hair like her….if she did it or said it, I did it and said it. And now that we are grown up and I can correctly say the letter “R” and have my own clothes, I still admire her so much. I couldn’t have found a better husband for her even if I created him myself Weird Science style.
Since it’s pretty difficult to type when I can’t see the screen through my sappy, watery eyes, I’ll just share the pictures already.
